Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
I actually saw Serafim at CES last January, and I was actually given these A1 headphones for a review, but sadly, since I got back from Las Vegas, I was sick three times in a row, the last being the result of a hernia surgery. But enough about me, let’s talk about what the company says is “the world’s first gaming headset designed for all platforms”.
When it says “all platforms”, it appears to be at ten (at least) with PS5 / PS4 / Switch / PC / Mac / Xbox one / Xbox series X/S / iPhone / Pad / Android Phone / Tablet. You can see me on the video try it out on at least three of those.
Now, you might be wondering: I really wish that this was wireless. Fortunately, the A1 Gaming Headphones has a feature known as the Audio Box with a built-in DSP chip that has a 3D Surround Audio and a Bass Boost effect. Now, I think I might have misreported on this on my video, but I’m told you can bring all saved audio effects and equalizer profiles by switching platforms. However, I was having a difficult time using the Audio Box with my Nintendo Switch, and in the instructions, it just said to connect the headphones to the gaming console, no mention of the Audio Box.
Hmmm. Yeah, I don’t know what to think about that. I really should have reported on the Serafim EQ App to customize the audio and build your own profile.
I can testify about how great the audio is, and part of that is the built-in 50-millimeter directional drivers for audio precision. It also helps to have that cool plug-in microphone, which is really handy for Twitching.
Yes, even though the Serafim A1 is made for gaming, it can be used for listening to music or video content. Now, the only thing that I don’t really know about this is the price, and I might have got a chance to review this before it is even available.
Facts About The Company
Serafim is a Taiwanese company, which specializes in gaming accessories, made by those with gaming experience by engineers. They provide the software and hardware integration of mobile devices and wearable mobile technology, and they have multiple patents across optics, mechanisms, and software.
I just found out the company has some serious goals, and I just copy and pasted fthem from the website:
1. Develop Serafim’s brand and ensures Serafim’s self-developed products connect to our customers’ hearts and enrich customers’ lives.
2. Good at marketing Serafim’s self-developed products through the internet worldwide.
3. Creates practical and affordable technology products.
What Does This Company Make?
The company began in 2015 with the ODiN Laser Mouse, which sounds like a product that Razer would make or something. In 2019, they launched the world’s racing wheel, and I got that fact off the company site, but it really feels like a racing wheel should have already been invented already. Maybe it is like the A1, and supports a lot of platforms.
In 2020, the company released both the S1 and S2 game controllers. I’m told that there is some other gaming controller, and to be honest, I thought I would be reviewing this.
