Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Looks like I’m back to reviewing products from the Urban Armor Gear once again, and we really were lucky to receive products for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. We also have a strap for the Apple Watch, as well as another little surprise. I have six different products this time.
Our Review of the UAG Metropolis LT Kevlar Case for iPhone 17 Pro Max
I’ll start out with this particular case known as the Metropolis, like the city that Superman likes to defend. I have definitely said that before, as I’ve lost count of how many times I have reviewed the Metropolis case.
I know that in the video I raved about how unusual the texture is, and it also comes in other types of textures. There is this kind of DuPont Kevlar thing, but the Topography is very well named because it looks like a topographical map.
Like the other cases, it has the Magnetic feature going for it. Oh, there are these TPU bumpers that absorb and disperse impacts to protect the phone from all kinds of impacts.
This is made of 50 percent recycled materials, and it can protect from 18 feet of drop protection. Sound good to you? Get it on the UAG website for a price of $69.95.
Our Review of the UAG PLYO Case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max
As you can see from this case, it is very transparent, but what you don’t see is how sleek and lightweight it is. There are also some reinforced TPU bumpers that are made to absorb and disperse impact to protect the phone from any damage.
Something that I don’t think I mentioned with the other cases is how the PLYO has some lanyard anchor points. Just to let you know, there is some serious MagSafe compatibility and can even support Apple Pay.
As for the drop protection, it is good for 16 feet worth of protection. That’s pretty good, and if you want it, you can head to the UAG website and pay $59.95 for it.
Our Review of the UAG Monarch Pro Case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max
This Monarch Pro for the iPhone 17 Pro Max can apparently give 5 layers of protection, really. Part of that protection is a polycarbonate shear plate as well as an impact resistant rubber surround. There is a contoured perimeter edge with an anti-sip traction for some secure and easy handling in any situation.
Not only that, look at it, it is quite unique with its orange coloring. It also has this MagSafe module, compatible with wireless chargers and accessories. It is good for 25 feet of drop protection, which means that has to be seriously strong with its armor frame. Yeah, man!
If you want it, feel free to head over to the UAG website and pay $84.95 for it.
Our Review of the UAG Plasma XTE Case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max
Well, I’m sure you can see the big feature that comes with the Plasma XTE case, it is that cool ring that can bend outward. From there, you can just prop it up so you can maybe watch a video or something.
In addition to this ring, there are these air-soft corners, with some cushioning against drops. Oh, I believe that ring helps out with magnetic charging, which I think is really really great.
So, let’s talk about drop protection, because it is good for 20 feet worth. So if you like this, you can get it for about $74.95 on the UAG website.
Our Review of the UAG Monarch Strap for the Apple Watch
Okay, so we had the opportunity to review an Apple Watch strap, without the Apple Watch, unfortunately. However, the Monarch Strap, like the Monarch Pro case that I just talked about, is built strong.
I’m told that the Monarch strap can withstand the elements, such as extreme temperatures, chemicals, UV rays, water, and dust. This strap made of some premium FKM fluoroelastomer, whatever that is, there is also some stainless steel on it too.
You will note how the strap is full of holes, and they are all hexagonal shaped. Then there is some thing that holds it on, and there is a good tuck-in strap as well.
If you want this, you can get this on the UAG website for about $104.95.
Our Review of the UAG Magnetic Ring Stand
So, I could have sworn that I have reviewed some product like this in the past, but honestly, I’ve reviewed so many UAG products that I’ve kind of lost track. I think this is made for MagSafe cases, but I have a phone with no MagSafe, and it did stick.
You can see that in the video, and you can see how versatile the UAG Magnetic Ring Stand truly is. You can use this thing as a kickstand to hold up your phone, so you can watch a video or something, and there are all kinds of other uses with the 360-degree positioning as well. For example, you can also use the UAG Magnetic Ring as a ring to hold your phone so you can use it one-handed!
If you want this, you can get it on the UAG website for about $39.95.
Facts About The Company
Imagine that it is 2012, and the world is about to end because of some Mayan calendar thing. In Orange County, the action sports center of the world, the company of Urban Armor Gear (UAG) figured out that the case market really sucked, so they developed their versions of popular products. Okay, maybe really sucked is not the proper word, but perhaps room for improvement could take place. Honestly, besides Otterbox and other major brands, I think UAG really has what it takes to beat one of the biggest players in the case game.
What Does This Company Make?
If you want cases, UAG literally has you covered. Then there is some straps as well. But it is mostly cases for smartphones and tablets, as well as straps for smart watches.
Yeah, I’ve reported on them so many times in the past, I don’t think I’m going to put in anything here.
I think I’m just going to put in links for my other UAG reviews for the past year, and the first of them comes from just a week ago:

Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
I’m not going to fill out this section, as the specs information just covers the basic measurements. Considering the cases are all for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the measurements are all the same.
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
Since the iPhone 17 Pro Max is still really new, I have reviewed no products related to it. I’m sure I’m going to review a lot of them in the future.
For comparison, I suppose you could go with Otterbox, but their cases are pretty up there in price. I would have to say UAG is up there in price, but not to far. I mean, you have to pay for protection. I’ll let you decide where and what direction you want to go with other brands like TORRAS, ZAGG, Smartish, and any of the others I’ve looked at.
I actually have another review coming up of some UAG cases, and it will post soon, if it hasn’t already. I think I will always have cases like this to review as long as we have smartphones and tablets.
