UAG Review: SRGE Slim 5K Power Bank and 5 Cases for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (Monarch Pro, Metropolis LT, Plasma XT, and Pathfinder)

February 3, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Looks like I’m back to reviewing products from the Urban Armor Gear once again, and we really were lucky to receive products for the Samsung Galaxy S25. Actually, there are five cases for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra! I have nine different products this time, with a few being cases for the new iPhone 16 series. As for the rest, we had better get started!

Our Review of the UAG SRGE Slim 5K Power Bank

I’m going to start with the Ultra Slim 5K Power Bank! The 5K is for the 5,000 mAh battery capacity, and it gives 10W of wireless charging or 20W of a plug-in USB-C charging to whatever, like your smartphone, tablet, or even a computer.

You will notice in the video how it just magnetically locks on the back, and the website says it will work for MagSafe iPhone devices. But from what I can tell, it will do the wireless charging, and it does stick on the back of those Galaxy S25 Ultra cases I’m reviewing.

In the video, I forgot to give the stats as far as how much this will charge up your phone. You can charge an iPhone 16 up to 75 percent and an iPhone 15 up to 82 percent. It takes 90 minutes to charge the power bank, by the way.

Oh yeah, I also mentioned in the video how I wasn’t certain what the drop is. Apparently, this meets military drop test standards, but I don’t have a number on the drop height max. It is made from metal housing, so it feels pretty tough.

You can get this on the UAG website for a price of $59.95.

Our Review of the UAG Pathfinder Clear Galaxy S25 Ultra Case

All right, let’s talk about the Pathfinder Clear, as opposed to the Pathfinder…I don’t know…opaque?

This Pathfinder has an ultra-lightweight armor shell, an impact-resistant frame, and there is a hex pattern core to provide a drop and shock protection. Oh, and it has a magnetic module to support wireless chargers and magnetic accessories.

Did I mention that it is lightweight? It is. It is made with 25 percent post consumer recycled materials, and it can withstand drops of 18 feet.

You should be able to purchase this on the UAG website for a price of $54.95.

Our Review of the UAG Metropolis LT Galaxy S25 Ultra Case

I know that in the video I raved about how unusual the texture is, and it also comes in other types of textures. There is this kind of Kevlar thing, but the Topography is very well named because it looks like a topographical map.

Like the other cases, it has the Magnetic feature going for it. Oh, there are these TPU bumpers that absorb and disperse impacts to protect the phone from all kinds of impacts.

This is made of 50 percent recycled materials, and it can protect from 18 feet of drop protection. Sound good to you? Get it on the UAG website for a price of $64.95.

Our Review of the UAG Plasma XTE Galaxy S25 Ultra Case

Well, I’m sure you can see the big feature that comes with the Plasma XTE case, it is that cool ring that can bend outward. From there, you can just prop it up so you can maybe watch a video or something.

In addition to this ring, there are these air-soft corners, with some cushioning against drops. Oh, I believe that ring helps out with magnetic charging, which I think is really really great.

Let’s talk about drop protection, because it is good for 20 feet worth. So if you like this, you can get it for about $69.95 on the UAG website.

Our Review of the UAG Monarch Pro Galaxy S25 Ultra Case

This Monarch Pro Galaxy S25 can apparently give 5 layers of protection, really. Not only that, look at it, with its Titanium model. I mean, it looks like a suit of armor on the phone.

So, it has this magnetic module, compatible with wireless chargers and accessories. It is good for 25 feet of drop protection, which means that has to be seriously strong with its armor frame. Yeah, man!

If you want it, feel free to head over to the UAG website and pay $79.95 for it.

Our Review of the UAG Monarch Pro Kevlar Galaxy S25 Ultra Case

Oh my gosh! Didn’t we just review a Monarch Pro? Yeah, we did, but this one has Kevlar. And yeah, I did passively (and more actively) mention that I want to try and use a real bullet on it to see if it would repel it.

There is a 25-foot worth of drop protection, and it absorbs and disperses impact to protect the S25 Ultra from drops. Part of it is the impact-resistant rubber surround, for an extra cushion against bumps and shocks. Oh, and it has all the magnetic features for charging and other accessories as well.

You can get this on the UAG website for about $99.95.

Facts About The Company

Imagine that it is 2012, and the world is about to end because of some Mayan calendar thing. In Orange County, the action sports center of the world, the company of Urban Armor Gear (UAG) figured out that the case market really sucked, so they developed their versions of popular products. Okay, maybe really sucked is not the proper word, but perhaps room for improvement could take place. Honestly, besides Otterbox and other major brands, I think UAG really has what it takes to beat one of the biggest players in the case game.

What Does This Company Make?

If you want cases, UAG literally has you covered. Then there is some straps as well. But it is mostly cases for smartphones and tablets, as well as straps for smart watches.

I think I’m just going to put in links for my other UAG reviews for the past year, and the first of them comes from just a week ago:

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I’m not going to fill out this section, as the specs information just covers the basic measurements. Considering they are all for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the measurements are all the same.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Since the Samsung Galaxy S25 is still really new, I have reviewed no products related to it. I’m sure I’m going to review a lot of them in the future.

For comparison, I suppose you could go with Otterbox, but their cases are pretty up there in price. I would have to say UAG is up there in price, but not to far. I mean, you have to pay for protection. I’ll let you decide where and what direction you want to go with other brands like TORRAS, ZAGG, Smartish, and any of the others I’ve looked at.

I actually have another review coming up of some UAG cases, and it will post soon, if it hasn’t already. I think I will always have cases like this to review as long as we have smartphones and tablets.
