Another week, another Bluetooth speaker. Yeah, that's common for me, and the Sound Spot by Soundfreaq is a very nice one. This portable Sound Spot is a wireless home speaker with "mid-century design inspiration". I am guessing that it is saying that it resembles a 1950's speaker. At least it isn't from the 1970's. It is definitely quite loud, and something that is a … [Read more...] about The Sound Spot from Soundfreaq

My review of Element Case’s Recon Pro Case, Rogue Ducati, plus the Fuse Dek Surface Mount and Zip Mount
I've reviewed Element Cases before on this blog. To me, they are one of the best cases for protection around, up there with Otterbox. I got a chance to try out three of their new products, and I will start with the Recon Pro Case for Samsung Galaxy S5. You can see that the Recon Pro has this really cool almost futuristic aesthetic to it, something that I believe is to be … [Read more...] about My review of Element Case’s Recon Pro Case, Rogue Ducati, plus the Fuse Dek Surface Mount and Zip Mount
Audio-Technica ATH-ANC70 QuietPoint headphones
I'm always thrilled to review Audio-Technica's products, such as the ATH-WS77 Solid Bass Headphones. I had a chance to review another one of their over-the-ear headphones, the ATH-ANC70 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling headphones. I definitely think these are one of the most advanced headphones that I have tried as far as the Active Noise-cancelling part is concerned. … [Read more...] about Audio-Technica ATH-ANC70 QuietPoint headphones
Otterbox Preserver and Symmetry Series for the Samsung Galaxy S5
Most of you know that I love Otterbox products, and it really is hard not to love them. I mean, if you want protection for your mobile, most people look to Otterbox or Lifeproof for that kind of great protection. I finally had a chance to out two of the products for the Galaxy S5, the Preserver and Symmetry. The Preserver is one of those covers that is made for … [Read more...] about Otterbox Preserver and Symmetry Series for the Samsung Galaxy S5
Mead’s Trapper Keeper are being made for tablets!
I know that most people are into summer, but school has just begun for me. I am actually tutoring some students this semester, so I can't help but think back to my own days of Trapper Keepers. Yeah, most of us can probably remember Trapper Keepers, and they were and probably still are being used in a paper-filled society. Now that we live in a tablet and smartphone … [Read more...] about Mead’s Trapper Keeper are being made for tablets!
Google wants to give you control over its Android TV
I realize that I spent a lot of time yesterday talking about Google I/O's cardboard, but I really should have been talking about Android TV. Apparently, I must have missed reporting on that, but if you can make developing apps for smart televisions, you should do it. Now, Android TV allows users to mirror apps on their big screen as well as their tablet or smartphone. I … [Read more...] about Google wants to give you control over its Android TV
Google unveils Cardboard VR at I/O
If you aren't familiar with how Google works, they have a big developers conference simply called I/O. Sometimes they roll out big things like a new version of Android, or some other big new Android phone. This time last week, it was cardboard. I have no idea if anyone intends to mass-produce this very cheap holder, but they were given out by Google at I/O. Yeah, it is … [Read more...] about Google unveils Cardboard VR at I/O
Robots serve as guides at Tokyo Museum
If you head to Tokyo, you can see some seriously freaky real robots at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. They are Kodomoroid ("child robot") and Otonaroid ("adult robot") and they are positioned to introduce you to the world of robots. I am told that these robots move their realistic lips to a voice-over, and they have all the human "tells". For … [Read more...] about Robots serve as guides at Tokyo Museum
Speculative Fiction Saturday: Babylon 5
I don't know whether I really planned this, but this month has been Speculative TV show month. Today, I wanted to discuss my one of my favorites, and it is not Star Trek, Doctor Who, but this one, Babylon 5. If you never heard of it, I can't say that I blame you. It lasted about five years, but the only thing that kept it alive was its fanbase. The show was not one that … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Babylon 5
Heliquad 2.4 remote-controlled quadcopter from Interactive Toy Concepts
Since it is summertime in my part of the world, it is always a blast to play with some remote controlled toys. In the case of the Heliquad 2.4 by Interactive Toy, I'm glad they put out a quad-copter model. I had a chance to try this out, and let me tell you one thing: It is a lot of fun. The only thing is that I had a trouble with its controls. In fact, the box says … [Read more...] about Heliquad 2.4 remote-controlled quadcopter from Interactive Toy Concepts
Clear-Coat has your iPhone and iPad Air covered
This is not the first time that I have written about Clear-coat before, nor a product that can protect your mobile device like this. I personally liked the Aurora as it was very, very shiny and reflective, but the ones that I had to look at were very transparent. I also am surprised that this was the first time that I used a headline like this. The ones that I had a … [Read more...] about Clear-Coat has your iPhone and iPad Air covered
Tonino Lamborghini Quantum EL-01 Headphones
Ah, yes, another headphone review! And how can I possibly give a bad rating to any phone that has "Lamborghini" in its title. The answer is that I can't, because I always thought those flat cars are the best. It is more than just the name that makes the Quantum EL-01 headphone rock. It has a 10-mm driver for the enhanced bass response, and it really does have powerful … [Read more...] about Tonino Lamborghini Quantum EL-01 Headphones
The Kodiak 6000mA USB Power Bank from Outdoor Tech
Yes, I have reported on Outdoor Tech before, such as the Privates Wireless Headphones, and I have also reviewed plenty of mobile batteries like those ones for Ventev or iWalk. I want to welcome you to the Kodiak. So, what makes the Kodiak different than other mobile batteries? Well, for one thing, it is IP54 Water Resistant which means it might not be able to be … [Read more...] about The Kodiak 6000mA USB Power Bank from Outdoor Tech
The System Mechanic from iolo
It isn't often that I review some performance solutions software, but I had a chance to try out iolo's System Mechanic. It is always difficult to review something that improves your PC, for you don't know how well it will work if you don't use it If you want to see it for yourself, just go to iolo.com and download it. It costs about $39.95 (for now), and it is made for … [Read more...] about The System Mechanic from iolo
