I have reviewed HEX products before, such as the Cabana Tote, and I recently had a chance to review the Westmore Cross Body for Tablets. The Cross Body is definitely designed for tablet owners in mind. I have always complained that there were not enough accessories for mobile devices that were like bags and purses. This Cross Body is a form factor bag that allows you to … [Read more...] about Westmore Tablet Cross Body for tablets, by HEX

EPIC Earbuds by JLab
Some of you might remember in my report on the Epic by Celluon, as I stated that I am tired of the use of the word "Epic". What is ironic is that I commented on how last summer gave us a movie called Epic, and I actually just saw it. I probably won't be doing a review of that for Speculative Fiction Friday, but let's just say that is hard to do a film with a title like that. … [Read more...] about EPIC Earbuds by JLab
Speculative Fiction Saturday: Elysium
I was really looking forward to seeing Elysium. It was written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, the man who gave us a film that everyone should see called District 9. District 9 was about how humans are inherently xenophobic and proud, and shows how we would truly treat an alien race: by putting them in slums. Elysium is a film that is made for the "We Are the 99 Percent" … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Elysium
The Audio-Technica SonicSport In-ear Headphones
Okay, I am going to conclude headphone day with another one from Audio-Technica, the SonicSport In-Ear Headphones, or ATH-CKP500. I'm going to begin by saying that it looks more like these were designed for the athletic in mind. These particular "athletic" types of headphones usually have some way to stay within the ear. It is similar to the QuietPoint that I already … [Read more...] about The Audio-Technica SonicSport In-ear Headphones
The T 51 p from Beyerdynamic
Looks like we are in the second part of headphone day, and I'm going to discuss one from Beyerdynamic. I talked about them before when I reviewed The Custom One Pro, and now I'm discussing the T 51 p. These particular over-the-ear headphones remind me of the QuietPoint from Audio-Technica, but this particular one eliminates white noise, with more noise. Of course, I am … [Read more...] about The T 51 p from Beyerdynamic
Audio-Technica QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones
Today is headphone day, because we are going to be reviewing not one, not two, but three different pairs of headphones. We'll start with Audio-Technica, a brand that I love, and the last time I reviewed something was the Solid Bass Headphones. This one is the QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones, or ATH-ANC33iS. They are called QuietPoint because they … [Read more...] about Audio-Technica QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones
IK Multimedia introduces iLoud wireless portable speaker
I have reviewed a lot of Bluetooth speakers, and this particular iLoud from IK Multimedia is one of the most high-powered ones for its size. As you can see from the picture, the iLoud is made for musicians, and it is perfect for whatever musical style that you want. Not only can it be used with a iPad, it is about the size of an iPad, but 2.3 inches thick. It can last … [Read more...] about IK Multimedia introduces iLoud wireless portable speaker
MONEUAL has a lot of award-winning products, including the X-Pillar
Today, my Inbox was inundated with all kinds of companies who have earned awards at CES 2014, in spite of the fact that CES doesn't occur until January. One of the companies is Moneual, one that I never heard of, but they produce a lot of robot vacuum cleaners that you can see here. There is a lot of products that I could report on by Moneual, but I decided to report on … [Read more...] about MONEUAL has a lot of award-winning products, including the X-Pillar
SkullCandy announces Air Raid Bluetooth Speaker
I haven't reviewed a SkullCandy product in about a year with the PLYR2. If you aren't familiar with this company, try and imagine some sort of gourmet headphone manufacturer. I'm pretty sure that the company has probably put out a Bluetooth speaker before, but this Air Raid looks pretty good with 50mm drivers. It also has a battery pack that is good for a 14 hour charge. … [Read more...] about SkullCandy announces Air Raid Bluetooth Speaker
Casio PRIZM fx-CG10 graphing calculator with full-color display
I find it hard to believe that I have reviewed very few calculators in my career as a tech reporter. If it were thirty years ago, the most advanced computer technology was the calculator. The last one was the Casio FX-9860GII Graphing Calculator, and this new PRIZM fx-CG10 has one stand-out feature: color. Think about it. Most calculators that you have ever used are in … [Read more...] about Casio PRIZM fx-CG10 graphing calculator with full-color display
Lady Gaga flies in a dress, will perform in space
Ah, Lady Gaga. I have no idea if you ever intended to be this spokesperson of the over-the-top wardrobe, but today, only Queen Amidala from Star Wars has a more garish clothing line. Just in time for her new album, Lady Gaga shows up in a dress that literally takes her off the ground. There are six of these rotors that lift her up, and is under control by another person. … [Read more...] about Lady Gaga flies in a dress, will perform in space
Lifeproof fre, now for the iPhone 5S
Okay, I have to be honest, as I think I may have reported on this Lifeproof product before. Yeah, I really have a hard time keeping track of these products that I am reviewing. I have reviewed Lifeproof products before, like that cool one for the iPad Mini. If you aren't familiar with Lifeproof, they probably give the most protection as Otterbox. I'm sure I'll be … [Read more...] about Lifeproof fre, now for the iPhone 5S
Elevator Bed saves homes a lot of space
When I got out of college, and I attempted to create an office underneath it. It was pretty cramped, and was my first home office. I have a bigger office now, with a thankfully larger ceiling. An Italian furniture maker Espace Loggia created this Elevator Bed which can rise to the ceiling and takes up less space. Man, I always love seeing any space-saving features … [Read more...] about Elevator Bed saves homes a lot of space
Navy Christens Next-Gen Aircraft Carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford
Today, the Navy cracked a bottle of wine on the hull of the next generation aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford. This is the beginning of the Ford class, and it has a lot of improvements. First of all, it is very long at 1,080 feet, and 100 feet high, which allows it to hold over 25 percent more aircraft than older carriers. One of the biggest pluses is the … [Read more...] about Navy Christens Next-Gen Aircraft Carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford
Speculative Fiction Saturday: Oblivion
I have to admit that, for the most part, Tom Cruise has been pretty smart about what movies he has appeared in. Sure, he has been in some movies that have been duds, but most of the time, his movies are stand-alone classics. Think of films like A Few Good Men, Top Gun, and Minority Report. Personally, I think the Mission Impossible movies are some sort of spy dream that he … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Oblivion
