Turtle Beach Review Once Again: Burst II Air Mouse, Vulcan II TKL Pro, the Atlas Air Headset, and the Stealth 600 Headset

August 16, 2024 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Okay, we’re going to discuss four Turtle Beach products, and we’ll get to the company later, but for now, we’re going to start by saying that they are a gaming accessories company. We will discuss the Burst II Air Mouse, Vulcan II TKL Pro, the Atlas Air Headset, and the Stealth 600 Headset.

Our Review of the Turtle Beach Burst II Air

Okay, so let’s start with the simplest of gaming tools, at least for the PC: the mouse. The Burst II Air is a high-performance, ultra-lightweight, ergonomic design mouse that is one of the lightest that I have ever used at 47 grams.

The light part is easily understood, but here’s a stat that I don’t understand: Dynamic accuracy with 26k DPI/650 IPS (16.5m/s) optical sensor. It is also NVIDIA Reflex Compatible, and it has a TITAN Switch Optical for tactile feel with optical speed.

Oh yes, so I get some of this, because I’m not really much of a gamer. You can watch the video if you want to see how capable it is in wired mode, Bluetooth mode, and dongle mode. It has 120 hours of battery life, and it has 6 programmable buttons which I really couldn’t or just didn’t demonstrate.

So, it is a pretty good deal, and I highly recommend it. The image here and the one on the video is black, but it comes in white if you want it.

Our Review of the Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Pro

Okay, the next on my list is the Vulcan II TKL Pro, a keyboard that I am currently writing this Turtle Beach article on. Just to let you know, since I am not really used to it, I am making typos (that I hope that I am correcting). I think that I’m hitting a Function key or something, because it is doing something weird.

One thing that I highlighted in the video is that the individual keys are very unique, and I’ll have to say it is one of the most unique that I have seen on any keyboard, gaming or otherwise. I think part of it is the Hall-Effect, Magnetic Switches Rated at a 150M Click Lifecycle. It also has adjustable, multi-point actuation for each individual key. I kind of don’t know what that means, but I understand the AIMO Intelligent RGB Lighting (I love the colorful lighting).

So, there is also some advanced customization with Swarm II Software, and 5 On-Board Profiles. I forgot to mention how large the keyboard is, and it comes with a wrist-rest as well. Oh, it also comes in Black or White.

Our Review of the Turtle Beach Atlas Air Headset

As you can see from the video, this was the most fun that I had reviewing a headphone due to the appearance of one Amazing (fake) Spider-Man. The Atlas Air Headset is an open back wireless headset, and it is compatible with just about everything, but I just tested it with the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. I don’t have a Microsoft Xbox, and I figured that if Bluetooth worked so well for the Switch, it would work on my PC and mobile device.

So, the Atlas Air Headset has 40 mm Drivers with High-Fidelity 24-bit Audio Quality. There is also this really cool dial on it that controls the volume, and you can switch from Bluetooth to the dongle with the touch of a button. Both me and Spider-man played on it for a while, and it was still comfortable.

And, if you are playing for a while, you should know that has a 50 hour battery life. By the way, this has Swarm II Desktop and Mobile App with Advanced 10-Band EQ, and it also has Waves 3D Audio for PC + 10-Band EQ and Superhuman Hearing.

Our Review of the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Headset Gen 3

Okay, this is the time where you should watch the video, because I couldn’t believe the lengths that I took this Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Headset. I mean, this one is for the Xbox, and I played with it on the PS4.

Okay, that isn’t really much, but personally, I kind of liked that I could do that. So, this is a multiplatform, with low-latency 2.4GHz Wireless and Bluetooth 5.2. Like the Atlas Air, it has the Swarm II Desktop and Mobile App Advanced 10-Band EQ. The Stealth 600 Gen 3 has a mappable wheel and mode button for customizable functions.

By the way, there is a flip-to-mute mic and it has A.I.-Based Noise Reduction. It also has 80-hour battery life with a quick charge. The Stealth 600 Gen 3 is made in black and white.

Facts About The Company

I have reviewed many Turtle Beach products before, as you can see when I talk about what else the company makes. I don’t know if Turtle Beach was first to the make third-party gaming headsets, but it would not surprise me if they were. They have been a fan-favorite brand for a while, and we’re always pleased to review them.

What Does This Company Make?

I should also take the time to say that Turtle Beach is also over the ROCCAT brand, bringing German innovation with genuine passion for PC gaming products. Oh yes, they also make Neat Microphones, and we have also reviewed those.
Just go ahead and skip to the end of the article if you want to see some other headsets Turtle Beach has reviewed, and you can just do a search for gaming mice, as Turtle Beach has made a lot of them. Here is the Stealth Pro Review that I did a few months ago. The last time we reviewed a Turtle Beach product was the Recon 70 Gaming Headphones and Velocity One Flightstick.

What Do the Reviews Say?

I’ll just give what’s on the Turtle Beach site, and let you look it up on the Amazon website yourself. The Burst II Air has one review, and it is five stars, which is the same for the Vulcan II TKL Pro. The Atlas Air is 4.5 stars based on 13 reviews, and the Stealth 600 Gen 3 has 4.2 stars based on 84 reviews.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

We reviewed some products from GameSir with the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro, and we also reviewed the G7 Wired Controller.

If you do a search for Turtle Beach on my website, TheGeekChurch.com, you will find many types of controllers, with the Atom and Recon Cloud made for mobile devices. I reviewed the Recon about two years ago, which was made for Xbox. Anything else was more than five years ago.

We also reviewed some gaming keyboards with the Cherry and the Mountain Everest Max, so you can compare prices on that.
