Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
I’ve always loved reviewing UAG products, as they really make a very superior brand of case! I’ve looked into a lot of cases, and UAG is definitely made to be durable.
Our Review of the UAG Civilian for iPhone 15 Pro Max
I’ll start with the Civilian, like I did with my video. Now, this guy has a molded lightweight armor shell, and also has a hex cushion shock-absorbing soft core. It adds up to great protection without adding any excess bulk, and also has a raised protective screen to protect against impacts.
The Civilian can withstand drops of 20 feet, and it is good for MagSafe Charging. Now, you will notice this theme in UAG design where there is kind of this buckle-looking designed, and I’ve never been able to really put a name on it, but there is this kind of X or Union Jack kind of impression on the cases. The Civilian doesn’t have that, but feels really minimalist, but there’s nothing similar in its construction.
I do need to make this particular disclaimer: One thing to note about the Civilian, we have heard that there is an issue about the action button being hard to reach with this case one the iPhone 15 Pro Max. UAG knows about the problem and they are fixing it across all of the styles moving forward. I think there might be a similar issue on UAG cases of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro.
Our Review of the PLYO with MagSafe for the iPhone 15 Pro Max
And now for the phone that has a name that I can’t seem to pronounce, is is the PLYO. It has a blend of military-tested drop protection and a crystal clear finish, so you will be able to see your iPhone 15 Pro Max very clearly in the wrapping.
The PLYO has an impact resistant soft core made to safeguard against accidental drops and impacts. It feels like whoever designed this PLYO made it with scratch-resistant skid pads and air-soft corners, for cushioning impact and protection against scuffle damage. Oh, I should talk about how it has 16 feet of drop protection, so it is worth buying.
Our Review of the Monarch Pro Kevlar for iPhone 15 Pro Max
Now we get to the ultimate in protection from UAG as we talk about the Monarch Pro Kevlar. This has 5 layers of protection including a shock-resistant core, a distinctive signature armor frame layered with DuPont™ Kevlar® Material, a polycarbonate shear plate, and an impact-resistant rubber surround.
So, this adds up to 25 feet of drop protection, and there are some serious traction grip as well as oversized tactile buttons. You might think that all of this might prevent MagSafe from being in operation, but it works, believe me.
Our Review of the Essential Armor for iPhone 15 Pro Max
So yes, this is not just the armor, it is the Essential Armor. It is “crafted for the minimalist who seeks maximum safeguarding”. It has an ultra-thin co-molded ergonomic design, to give a comfortable and sleek feeling on the hand.
Oh, and it also has reinforced corner protection for another layer of security, which can really shield against accidental drops and impacts. All of this, plus it is compatible with MagSafe and can give about 15 feet worth of drop protection.
Our Review of the Pathfinder for MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max
I believe that I’ve talked about UAG Pathfinder series before, but this one features clear construction to really showcase how great the device looks. It also has an ultra-lightweight armor shell, impact-resistant frame, as well as a hex pattern core, providing an enhanced drop and shock protection to keep the device safe.
So how safe? We are talking about 18 feet of drop protection. It has an enhanced perimeter raised screen surrounding it to protect against drops and impacts. There is also TPU bumpers for added corner protection. All that, and it is still MagSafe compatible.
Our Review of the PLYO for the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Okay, I’m not really certain what I can say about the PLYO that I didn’t say about before. This one doesn’t seem to highlight MagSafe power, but it is wireless charging compatible with most 3rd party wireless chargers.
This PLYO has 16 feet of drop protection plus air-soft corners that can cushion the impact. Oh, there is also an elevated perimeter, and yet this thing is made to be very, very clear.
By the way, is the PLYO so named because it is pliable? Because it really isn’t. Yeah, I don’t know why it is called that, and maybe I’ll get the pronunciation right some day.
Our Review of the Monarch Kevlar for iPhone 15 Pro Max
Yes, we just discussed the Monarch Pro Kevlar, but here is the Monarch. This Monarch series “offers 5 layers of premium protection, providing the ultimate safeguard for your device. It features a shock-resistant core, an unmistakable signature armor frame, and is layered with DuPont Kevlar®. Additionally, the Monarch series includes a polycarbonate shear plate, alloy metal hardware, and an impact-resistant rubber surround, ensuring comprehensive protection against daily wear and tear. We’ve engineered sculpted corners for reinforced drop protection, while the contoured perimeter edge offers a tactile grip for better handling on the go”.
What this all adds up to is 20 feet of drop protection. Just to let you know, there doesn’t seem to be any MagSafe, but UAG says that it is compatible with wireless charging for most third party wireless chargers.
Our Review of the Pathfinder and Pathfinder SE for MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max
For simplicity’s sake, I decided to just group the Pathfinder SE and the Pathfinder under the same review. While the Pathfinder comes in many different colors, the Pathfinder SE has a “geo camo” print finish. I don’t see any other difference other than that, but the price for the Pathfinder SE is about five dollars more.
The Pathfinder features “an ultra-lightweight armor shell, an impact-resistant frame, and a hex pattern core, providing enhanced drop and shock protection to keep your device safe in any situation. The enhanced perimeter raised screen surround ensures that your display remains shielded from accidental drops and impacts, while the TPU bumpers provide added corner protection”.
The Pathfinder and Pathfinder SE have 18 feet of drop protection. They are also both MagSafe compatible, and feather-light in its construction.
Our Review of the Monarch Pro for MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max
Looks like the Monarch has gone Pro, and this is made for all-terrain, so I’m told. I’ll go ahead and explain something else I am told with the 5-layer construction: a shock-resistant core, a distinctive signature armor frame layered with premium material choices (top-grain leather or carbon fiber), a polycarbonate shear plate, and an impact-resistant rubber surround.
There is also traction grip and oversized tactile buttons, and the Monarch Pro is still compatible with MagSafe. What really makes it great is it can protect up to 25 feet, which is very, very awesome.
Our Review of the Metropolis LT for MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max
Oh yes, the Metropolis, city of Superman. This is the Lite (LT) and it has a strong TPU frame as well as an impact absorbing inner bumper, to insure comprehensive protection against accidental drops and bumps.
The Metropolis LT has this mesh kind of texture with sculpted corners to reinforce drop protection and a stylish DuPont Kevlar Fiber Inlay. All of that, and it is compatible with MagSafe, hard to believe, isn’t it?
So yes, Superman might be impressed, and it is pretty impressive that it offers 18 feet of drop-protection, and the Metropolis LT has a soft impact-resistant core.
Our Review of the Monarch for iPhone 15 Pro Max
So, I have actually lost track of how many times we’ve discussed the Monarch series, but I think this is the fourth, maybe? At this point, I think I have copy and pasted the 5 layers of protection stat, and I don’t really see a need to do it again.
Perhaps I should discuss, or maybe discuss again, the engineered sculpted corners for reinforced drop protection, and the contoured perimeter edge for a tactile grip for better handling. You will notice that this Monarch doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the MagSafe, but it is compatible with wireless charging and most third party wireless chargers. Before I forget, there is 20 feet of drop protection.
Our Review of the Plasma for iPhone 15 Pro Max
So yes, this is the Plasma, and it really has that UAG look, doesn’t it? I definitely like its, how shall I say it? How about “dynamic translucent hexagonal design”.
The Plasma series has an enhanced TPU corner protection with an ultra-lightweight impact frame, made to shield a device from accidental drops and unexpected impacts. There is a low perimeter edge for a tactile grip, to insure a more secure handling experience.
The Plasma is good for 16 feet of drop protection, but it is not MagSafe compatible. It is good for wireless charging compatibility and third party wireless chargers.
Our Review of the Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 15 Pro Max
And the last thing we will be looking at is not going to be a case but a screen protector, one that took a bit of a fall in my video. Yeah, I don’t know if I can explain the process of my runway fashion show, so let me just say: it is was it was.
I’ll go ahead and tell you that the glass screen protector is very thin at 0.33 mm, and also has a nanometer anti-reflective coating to minimize glare, so you can use your phone in outdoor settings. So, there is an included applicator kit which is very great.
The important thing is that you will be protected, and I think the protection is the biggest thing when it comes to UAG.
Facts About The Company
Imagine that it is 2012, and the world is about to end because of some Mayan calendar thing. In Orange County, the action sports center of the world, the company of Urban Armor Gear (UAG) figured out that the case market really sucked, so they developed their versions of popular products. Okay, maybe really sucked is not the proper word, but perhaps room for improvement could take place. Honestly, besides Otterbox and other major brands, I think UAG really has what it takes to beat one of the biggest players in the case game.
What Does This Company Make?
If you want cases, UAG literally has you covered. Then there is some straps as well. But it is mostly cases for smartphones and tablets, as well as straps for smart watches.
I think I’m just going to put in links for my other UAG reviews for the past year, and the first of them comes from just two weeks ago:

What Do the Reviews Say?
These products are still pretty new, so I am not seeing many reviews on Amazon. I mentioned that there might be a product flaw that will be hopefully corrected. I believe that UAG has some of the best products out there, so they have my high regards.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I suppose you could go with Otterbox, but their cases are pretty up there in price. I would have to say UAG is up there in price, but not to far. I mean, you have to pay for protection.
I just reviewed Torras cases, and some of the Vena case. Oh, I also revied ZAGG, Catalyst, and Grip2U, and they were in the video if you want to check them out.
I actually have another review coming up of some UAG cases, and it will post soon, if it hasn’t already. I think I will always have cases like this to review as long as we have smartphones and tablets.
