Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

So, it’s time for me to review another really cool product from Creative, or Creative Labs. I have reviewed speakers from them in the past, and this is the first time in a long while that I have reviewed a pair. The T60 are a compact Hi-Fi 2.0 desktop speakers with Clear Dialog and Surround by sound Blaster and SmartComms Kit.

I think its time that I talked about some of those terms I just used. One of them is Sound Blaster, which can be broken up into three main product series, which is an audio upgrade solution for every setup for home, work, or play. I believe that is proprietary technology that is unique to the company, so it’s pretty great.

As far as the Clear Dialog, this is to insure that your favorite movie is not drowned out by special effects and music. This technology can extract the vocals and spoke dialog thanks to an audio processing technique, which intelligently enhances and amplifies the dialog, allowing for each syllable to be heard without toning down any and all background noise.

Another feature is the Surround, which allows for a wider soundstage for better listening, and that is pretty darn good. As for SmartComms, that is an included feature to make microphone controls and sound clear to others without any annoying background noise, and it works with any headphones with microphone, headsets, and external microphones.

You might notice that the speakers kind of stop on the video, but that is definitely user error. However, there is a VoiceDetect to control mute status, and this is pretty great. Then there is this other feature known as Noiseclean which can remove unwanted distractions from both ends of the conversation in real time.

The best part is how you can connect it. You will notice in the video how just a simple USB-C connection produced great sound from my two sources: smartphone and laptop. It really was that easy. You can also use Bluetooth 5.0 or 3.5 mm AUX-in, and you can connect your mics to this thing as well. Oh, and there is also a speaker and headphones switch, so that is quite great.

Facts About The Company

Creative is a somewhat old company found in 1981, and it was made because Creative wanted make better sound for PCs. Yeah, that was a long time ago, and Creative has produced some really great sound cards throughout the years, and they were the de-facto standard for PC audio in 1989. You might remember how bad cheap PCs were back then.

Creative has had a great track record when it comes to audio products. I mentioned in the video that one of the first products that I reviewed from them was a Zen stone, which was a really cool MP3 player. I have reviewed other products from them.

What Does This Company Make?

These are just the products that I have reviewed from Creative Labs in the past few years.

This was the last time: Creative Labs Stage SE Bluetooth Speaker.

There is a Outlier Pro set of earbuds that I checked out before Christmas last year.

There was also this Creative Labs SoundBlaster Blaze V2 Gaming Headset, which is a pretty cool thing for gaming with its detachable noise-cancelling microphone.

Similar to that is the Creative Chat USB, made some really good online chatting.

Then there was the Aurvana Trio Wireless, a set of wireless earbuds that are wired together to go around the back of the head.

Oh yes, I forgot about the Outlier One Plus with a built-in media player.

Then there was the Creative Labs Sound BlasterX P5, not to mention the Outlier Sports and Aurana Trio Earbuds.

I’ll go ahead and stop with the Halo Bluetooth speaker, the SoundBlasterX Siege M04 Precision Gaming Mouse, and the SoundBlasterX Vanguard K08 Gaming Keyboard.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Now that is a good question. I think I’ll just do a search for “speaker”, and see what I get. I saw Altec Lansing and Mirai, but they aren’t made for gaming, really.

Beyond that, most of the speakers that I review usually are not this type, as they are usually Bluetooth enabled portable types. This is the first twin set that I have reviewed in a long, long while.
