Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Yes, it is time to review another Scosche product, and before you can think it, I already know, we just reviewed one. It was a month ago, but we reviewed it. Then the MAGICMOUNT Travel came along, and I put it off because I had to go to CES to make CES 2024: The Movie.
So, I got a chance to review the MAGICMOUNT Base MS, but ow it is time to review the Travel Folding 2-in-1 Wireless Charger. You can see it here in the image, but it also has the ability to fold up.
At first, I thought this was some kind of mobile battery, but it really is a glorified wireless charger. Not that it doesn’t work well as that, as it can charge a Qi-enabled or MagSafe phone on one side at a 45 degree angle, and then some Airpods on another side, also at a 45 degree angle.
If you want, you can flatten the MAGICMOUNT Travel and charge two wireless charging things. It can hold and charge MagSafe iPhone models 12 and later up to 7.5 W, and Samsung phones at 10 W. I’m told it won’t work in the folded position, and I am assuming that means “not flat”, because that’s how I was able to charge two Samsung phones.
I should mention that the MAGICMOUNT comes with a charging cable, and one of those ends is at a 90-degree angle, which I found to be very handy. This charging cord is a USB-C to USB-C, and it can be used with an AC adapter which is not included.
Facts About The Company
Like I said before, we have reviewed Scosche products before, and the last time was before I changed the format of my articles to include facts about the company. The company has a goal to “produce cutting edge, innovative accessories at a competitive price”.
I first caught notice of them at a tech conference quite a while ago, but they actually “came to life” in 1980. They make all kinds of tech products made for consumers, and this is what I’ve seen so far.
What Does This Company Make?
So, this what I’ve seen: the Scosche Magic Mount ProCharge Dash/Vent Magnetic Wireless Charging Mount and the PowerVolt Travel 30. Then there is the Scosche Compact 10K mAh Dual-Port Power Bank, or the GoBat 10K.
Then there is the MagicMount Pro Extendo, GoBAT MS 5K, with the Thudbuds TW Earbuds. And then there was the USB-C Fast Charger PowerVolt PD20, USB-C Fast Charger PowerVolt PD60, and Magic Mount Window/Dash Mount Kit for MagSage Charger.
Oh yes, there was The Rhythm Plus 2.0 and NEXC2 DashCam and the Scosche BaseLynx, MagicGrip, and much more!
I’ve figured that is enough cut and pasting of old links from articles that I’ve written, and I’m sure I’ll put those on articles about Scosche that will be done in the future. In fact, I just cut and pasted this here from my last article, which was the Powervolt PD35.
Then we reviewed the BoomBottle MS, just last summer. Then, here’s our review of the Scosche Magicmount Base MS + Strikeline HH Charging Cable Review!
Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
• iPhone charges up to 7.5W
• AirPods charge up to 5W
• Samsung phones can charge up to 10W, but will not work if the device is in the folded position
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
What Do the Reviews Say?
I couldn’t find this on Amazon, and I’m wondering if these products are too new. The official Scosche site doesn’t have any new reviews as well.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Okay, I Like It, Just Give Me The Link So I Can Buy It Already!
Normally, I put links to this on Amazon, but I’ll just put a like to the Amazon site.
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
Well, as far as the charging cord is concerned, there are many to choose from, and I didn’t really want to create links there.
As far as similar chargers, I just reviewed a few from my old friends at ZAGG.
I also reviewed an AUKEY charger that was similar.
