Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
You had better believe it can do what it can do, because it is one great pair of headphones! They actually remind me a lot of the Apple Air Pods Max, and I wonder if this is by design.
I could not believe that Poly is some kind of offshoot of HP, and I have reviewed several of these products before. Most of the time, they are wireless earbuds, but this is the first time I have reviewed a Poly product pair of headphones that is earmuff or over-the-ear.
As always, I wonder what I can do to really give a good review of any pair of headphones. After all, I do articles and videos, but how is it possible to demonstrate audio, or at least good audio? The only thing that I can do is simply recommend that you put the Poly Voyager Surround 80 on your ears and try them out.
So, I have found that syncing these headphones was a real snap, and in one instance, I did it without opening my Bluetooth settings on a device. It was quite something, really. Speaking of something, I am told that you have 21 hours of talk time (24 hours of listen time), and there are some smart controls of play and pause.
I’m not certain how well I demonstrated this in the video, but there are 6 built-in mics plus 4 more that supports adaptive ANC. I also demonstrated the USB C wireless dongle, but what I didn’t demonstrate was a USB A adapter for that. All I have to say to that is: whoops.
The only complaint that I have is the price. It does feel pretty up there, but I’m just going to assume that this is a premium audio product.
Facts About The Company
I’m not certain what the vision of Poly is, or how it got started, but it certainly seems to be on a good track. In fact, it looks like they have combined with HP. It would appear that Poly makes products made for the office, as you will see.
Yes, I just cut-and-pasted that first paragraph, but I have found out some more information. Apparently, Poly was actually the company known as Plantronics. Plantronics is a company that I have reviewed for quite a while.
What Does This Company Make?
I have reviewed a webcam from them a while ago. Not to mention some kind of speakerphone, a pink one. They make headsets and anything else you might need for the office, or the home office. We also reviewed these cool earbuds that have a display on them, the Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC Earbuds. Oh, and then there is this Poly Voyager 5200 UC Bluetooth Headset.
I might as well talk about how Plantronics did a lot of products, and how I’ve reviewed them as well.

Wireless Earbuds: BackBeat FIT 300 by Plantronics
Plantronics RIG SURROUND PC Gaming Headset
Plantronics RIG Headset and Mixer

Any other Plantronics products are over a decade old and have definitely changed throughout the years.

What Do the Reviews Say?
I found about 28 reviews of it that averaged to about 4 stars. I feel for this price, it should be higher, but I have seen headphones more expensive that do less.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I’m going to look at headphones that are strictly over the ear, or earmuff type, at least for now.
I remember those ones from Pioneer that I thought were pretty nifty, the HDJ-CUE1. Then there is the 1More SonoFlow.
Well, you could always go with a pair of wireless earbuds. I would say that they are a dime a dozen, but they are not that cheap. I would say that the Poly Voyager Free 60+ are highly decent.
I reviewed the 1More Fit SE Open Earbuds S30. Oh there was also the myFirst CareBuds.
I did review that Urbanista one that was solar-powered. My most recent reviews of earbuds are the following, and I can recommend them.
There’s always these from Jabra with the Elite 5. Oh yes, and then there were the three ones from Raycon, like the Everyday Earbuds, the Fitness Earbuds, and the Gaming Earbuds.
