We are here in Las Vegas, enjoying CES!

January 6, 2010 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Right now, I am here in Las Vegas for CES. The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest meetings of electronics professionals in the world. Gathered at the Venetian/Sands Casino and the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), the biggest and smallest consumer electronics companies meet here with company buyers, not to mention members of the media. I, and my friend … [Read more...] about We are here in Las Vegas, enjoying CES!

My New Year’s Resolutions for the Geek Church for 2010

January 1, 2010 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Since this is the beginning of the new year, it is usually the time where we make promises that we can only hope to keep. Of course, as a Christian and a businessman, I have to keep my promises, right? Anyway, I would like to make a few years resolutions for this next year. Hit the jump to hear more about CES, new posts, a new science fiction series, a devotional, and a … [Read more...] about My New Year’s Resolutions for the Geek Church for 2010

GiiNii Artforme Frames

December 31, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I had a chance to try out two of GiiNii's Artforme Digital Picture Frames. Each of them have a wooden frame that have power save modes that "dial them down" at night, provided you programmed the calendar correctly. The 10.4 inch frame (top right) has about 512MB of internal memory, which is good for about 3,200 photos. It has a 6-in-1 memory slot for easy loading and … [Read more...] about GiiNii Artforme Frames

Motion Mimicking Robotic Pugilists

December 20, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Did you ever play that Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots when you were a kid? If you haven't, it used no electronics, but two players would face off against each other and then punch the other until a special spot is hit to make the robot's head pop up. Yeah, good times. Now you can take your robo-boxing game to another level with two robots with infrared controllers built-in. … [Read more...] about Motion Mimicking Robotic Pugilists

Caprica on SyFy

December 17, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Fans of the Battlestar Galactica series that had its end last Spring should enjoy Caprica, which just made its appearance on Hulu. That's pretty good, because I do most of TV watching on Hulu anyway. This two-hour pilot was actually available on DVD months ago. I suppose SyFy wanted the money from diehard BSG fans who just "had to see" the prequel. I had pretty low … [Read more...] about Caprica on SyFy

PermaFLOW easily unclogs the drain

December 16, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I once had my drain clog, and it was quite a pain. Granted, mine plugged up way down the line, but a lot of clogs happen in the bend. I suppose this is why someone created this PermaFLOW. It is a way of unclogging the drain simply by turning this wheel and the blockage should help clear itself up. At least, that is the theory. I wonder how well it really works. … [Read more...] about PermaFLOW easily unclogs the drain

Boeing 787 Dreamliner finally takes flight

December 16, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I grew up in the Seattle area, and Boeing was quite close by. In fact, you could hear it from miles around. I've been hearing about this Boeing 787 for years. It finally took its maiden flight, and guess what, there were no complications. It took off and landed, something that we all want our planes to do. I can't help but feel that there is probably a story here … [Read more...] about Boeing 787 Dreamliner finally takes flight

Adidas Star Wars Shoes

December 15, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Clearly, Adidas has now become an acronym for "All day I Dream about StarWars". Granted, I had to make Star Wars one word in order for that to work, and I won't tell you the original version of that acronym (because you probably already know it). For some reason, and let's just say that it's money, Adidas went and made themselves some Star Wars shoes. They come in four … [Read more...] about Adidas Star Wars Shoes

Morphius Case Mod

December 15, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I'm not certain what possessed this modder named Maciel to do this robotic case for his computer, but let's just say that it was something good. Granted, what would you think if you came into a friend's home and saw the Morphius, this evil robot looking thing? Hopefully, you wouldn't do the Christian thing and try and cast it out. Instead, compliment the person who made … [Read more...] about Morphius Case Mod

You gotta love this Concept PC

December 14, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

This is an interesting concept PC that clearly heralds back to an era when TVs looked like this. Even the keyboard and its base look like something from the fifties. Is that a dial that I see on the right? I am guessing that the button on the left is for power. Of course, this comes from Yanko Design, which is usually good at creating concept devices that usually … [Read more...] about You gotta love this Concept PC

The Hillcrest Loop

December 12, 2009 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

What you see right there is the Loop from Hillcrest. It is an "air-mouse" that uses motion controls to shift the cursor around on your PC, and it is also compatible with gaming systems like the Xbox 360 and PS3. I had a chance to try it out, and found that my computer recognized it instantly. It is a pretty good product if you like to use air mice, and its shape is as … [Read more...] about The Hillcrest Loop

Introducting The Video Camera For Your Keychain

December 11, 2009 By lucas@pullmanmarketing.com Leave a Comment

For the sake of convenience, technology continues to get smaller. In recent years, we've seen the creation of handheld games, camcorders, Mp3 players, cell phones, laptops, iPods, lapbooks and iphones. In this day and age, we enjoy the ability to entertain ourselves, create videos, communicate with people wirelessly, do work in nearly any location and access the Internet with … [Read more...] about Introducting The Video Camera For Your Keychain
