Modular Method Portfolio for the new iPad

November 1, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

In all honesty, I have some experience with the Modular Method Portfolio from M-EDGE. This particular one that you see here is designed for the the new iPad. I don't know what more I can say about it, other than I like it. It has a way of putting your iPad into one of those leather things like fancy businessman put their papers in. Granted, the M-EDGE Modular Method … [Read more...] about Modular Method Portfolio for the new iPad

USB Typewriter works as a Computer Keyboard

November 1, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

One of the things that keep me away from working on tablets is the lack of a keyboard. I can't do that whole touchscreen thing as it is too new-school for me. If you want to go old-school with your desktop, you might want to look into the USB Typewriter. It is a fully functionally compatible with both PC and Mac computer. This is pretty cool as it has the "Underwood" … [Read more...] about USB Typewriter works as a Computer Keyboard

October 31, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I suppose that a company like Dockem just has to make docks, and I had a chance to try out the Koala Mount. The Koala Mount is a very simple tool that is essentially a frame for a tablet like the iPad so you can put it on your wall. The Koala Mount is Chrome-plated goodness that is quite easy to install. All you have to do is just use the 3M adhesive strips. … [Read more...] about Koala Mount for Tablets from Dockem

Disney buys the Star Wars Universe, and Indiana Jones too!

October 31, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I suppose that we all know about George Lucas and that story he created "in a galaxy far, far away". As it turns out, Disney has bought the Star Wars universe for about 4.05 billion. Yes, Disney, who owns the rights to ABC, Marvel comics, and much more had acquired the rights to Lucasfilm. This means that not only do they have all rights to Star Wars and all that … [Read more...] about Disney buys the Star Wars Universe, and Indiana Jones too!

The Liquid/Mist Case for the iPhone 5, from id America

October 30, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I have been thinking a lot of New York with Hurricane Sandy, and id America has "Born in New York" in their slogan. I had a chance to try out idAmerica's latest offerings for the iPhone 5 with the Liquid and Mist. These cases are available in many styles and finishes. I'll start with the Liquid. It is a padded flexible case for drop protection as it is made from a … [Read more...] about The Liquid/Mist Case for the iPhone 5, from id America

Windows Phone 8 announced yesterday

October 30, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I realize that I am a little late on these stories about the announcement of the Nexus 4, and I don't want to leave out that Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8. Microsoft had a big announcement presentation thing that showed off a lot of new features like Rooms. Rooms is a user defined group of people for shared to-do lists, calendars, and photos all in one place. It … [Read more...] about Windows Phone 8 announced yesterday

The CargoCase and CompactCase from Krome

October 29, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Even though the iPhone 4/4S may seem passe with the advent of the iPhone 5, Krome has some pretty awesome cases with the CargoCase and the Compact Case. Krome sent me two of their products, and in all honesty, I can barely tell the difference between the two. Both of them have a small pocket that can hold ID or credit cards, or business cards. I am told that it can hold … [Read more...] about The CargoCase and CompactCase from Krome

Prexiso iC4 allows the iPhone to measure with a laser

October 29, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I have never used one of those laser sights to measure something from here to the opposite wall, but if I did, I am glad to know there is an app for that. Of course, using this app requires a separate gadget, one that sits in the 30 pin connector, and I would assume that they (had better) have one for the iPhone 5. According to my Source, the iC4 is good at "measuring … [Read more...] about Prexiso iC4 allows the iPhone to measure with a laser

Memoto Camera records your life

October 29, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I have talked about Kickstarter projects before, these are tech projects that are funded by you. Many inventors get money for their new stuff there, and one of the latest is the Memoto camera, which doubled its goal in 12 hours. The Memoto camera is about the size of a postage stamp, and this micro-device snaps random photos. It clips to your clothing with a stainless … [Read more...] about Memoto Camera records your life

The SUG7 Smart Strip wireless USB surge protector from Bits Limited

October 26, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I generally don't do many reviews on surge protectors, but I really don't know why. After all, everyone has one, and no one has really taken the time to make a really good one. No one, until Bits Limited has created the SUG7 Smart Strip, a wireless USB Surge Protector. What makes the SUG7 different is that it has two USB ports and two "always-on" outlets, for devices … [Read more...] about The SUG7 Smart Strip wireless USB surge protector from Bits Limited

October 3, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I have tried out Logitech's remote controls before, and I always liked the way they interact with the television and pretty much anything you attach to it. It has been years since I reviewed one of the great Logitech's remotes, and this new Logitech Harmony Touch replaces its buttons with a 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen. This screen can show up to 50 channel icons and … [Read more...] about Logitech Harmony Touch has a 2.4-inch color touchscreen

Sharp creates a see-through solar panel

September 26, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Some of you might remember when I brought up the subject of wind farms, and how they are popping up all over the place. I believe that I hinted on the possibility that harnessing the natural wind power of the Earth could solve pretty much any energy crisis. I also believe in an untapped resource of solar energy, and it is a shame that we don't use it more often. Perhaps … [Read more...] about Sharp creates a see-through solar panel

The Nest Protects Earbuds from Damaging Tangles

September 25, 2012 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

I think we all have problems with our earbuds that have something to do with their ability to get tangled. If you want to keep them from getting tangle damage, you should look into the Nest. The Nest is an interesting silicone creation that works in a way that I will try to describe. It is something that is the size of a hockey puck, and you turn it inside out. You then … [Read more...] about The Nest Protects Earbuds from Damaging Tangles
